For
Rosa shops at our food pantry in the evenings, as she found a full-time job. Our pantry is open from 6-7:30pm on Mondays and Wednesdays so that those who work can still receive food assistance. But, it's been tough for Rosa to continue to walk the 3 miles to Manna and carry home heavy cans and produce bags. Recently, we asked our friends on Facebook if they would help Rosa and others by buying small shopping carts. Within the day, we had three shipments on the way! For Rosa, this was life-changing.
Moments happen like this all the time at Manna. It feels like magic, but we know that it's through the power of community compassion and giving that the holidays become a season of hope instead of desperation. Those without homes, find one in Manna. Those families struggling to pay their bills find relief at our kitchen table. Those facing the cold of unemployment find warmth among Manna's family. Thank you for helping friends like Rosa!
